Kuo
In what is becoming an all too familiar pattern, another Bush White House official has written a tell all book, "Tempting Faith," that criticizes the President and his Republican supporters. The former White House official involved in faith-based initiatives portrays a group of zealots eager to gain the public support of religious hardliners even as these republicans referred to this group as "nuts" and "goofy."
Kuo was previously the number two man in the Bush faith-based department, serving as deputy director of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives during the president's first term. Publication of the new book comes at a tipping point for Republicans and voters who are contemplating the upcoming November elections.
Kuo left his White House post back in 2003. In his book, the former official accuses the Karl Rove political machine of manipulating folks for political benefit. According to materials released by MSNBC, Kuo has written that "National Christian leaders received hugs and smiles in person" but then were "dismissed behind their backs."
Kuo's book was delivered to bookshelves today.
